Learn about Bagamoyo’s role as a major trading port and gateway to the interior of East Africa. In the evening, enjoy a relaxed walk along the beach as fishermen return with their daily catch. Dinner and overnight in Bagamoyo.

Day 2Bagamoyo to Saadani National Park

After breakfast, continue your journey to Saadani National Park. The drive takes you through rural coastal landscapes and small villages, offering insight into local life. Upon arrival, check in and enjoy lunch before heading out for your first game drive.

Saadani’s unique setting allows you to spot wildlife such as giraffes, elephants, and antelopes with the ocean as a backdrop. As the day ends, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3Saadani – Game Drive & Boat Safari

Start the day with an early morning game drive when wildlife is most active. Track animals across open savannah and acacia woodlands, with chances to see buffalo, warthogs, and possibly lions. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.

In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari along the Wami River, gliding past hippos, crocodiles, and a wide variety of bird species. This peaceful activity offers a different perspective on the park’s ecosystem. Dinner and overnight in Saadani.
