Itinerary

Day 1Airport Pickup and Transfer to the Lodge

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your guide and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. Take time to relax and recover from your journey while enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

Day 2Arusha to Tarangire National Park

At 7:30, pick up from your hotel in Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park. The park is known for its large herds of elephants and stunning landscapes filled with baobab trees. You’ll have the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife, including lions, giraffes, and numerous bird species. The knowledgeable guides will share insights about the animals and their habitats, enhancing your safari experience.

Day 3Mto wa Mbu Activities

After breakfast, head to Mto wa Mbu village for a cultural experience. Enjoy guided activities such as a village walk, a local market visit, a banana plantation tour, and optional biking. This day offers a great opportunity to experience local life and traditions. The trip concludes with a departure from Mto wa Mbu to Karatu.

Day 4Karatu – Ngorongoro Crater – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we’ll take a picnic lunch and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you’ll descend into the stunning crater to view the prolific wildlife. The main feature of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is the Ngorongoro Crater – a large, unbroken, unflooded volcanic caldera. Animal populations in the crater include most of the species found in East Africa: lions, elephants, zebras, rhinos, leopards, buffalo, gazelle, wildebeest, hippos, and many different species of birds. After a game drive in the late afternoon, drive to the endless plains of the Serengeti.

Day 5Full Day in Serengeti National Park

On this day, get ready for an incredible safari experience! Keep your eyes peeled for the Big Five – lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos – as well as cheetahs, giraffes, and various antelope species. Embark on game drives to explore different areas of the park, each offering unique wildlife sightings and breathtaking landscapes.

In the evenings, relax at your lodge, surrounded by the sounds of the African bush. Enjoy delicious meals under the starlit sky and share stories of your safari adventures around the campfire. Serengeti’s vast plains and diverse wildlife will surely leave you in awe of nature’s wonders!

Day 6Serengeti to Karatu via Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Today, after breakfast, drive through the stunning landscapes of the Serengeti, through Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving in Karatu for the overnight. It’s a journey filled with wonder and wildlife, making it an unforgettable experience for you.

Day 7Drive from Karatu to Lake Eyasi for a Cultural Visit

After breakfast, take a scenic drive to Lake Eyasi, where you will be welcomed by the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes. The Hadzabe, known for their traditional hunting and gathering skills, will share their knowledge of the bush and demonstrate their unique hunting techniques. You’ll also have the chance to learn about their language, customs, and daily life. In the afternoon, you’ll visit the Datoga, skilled blacksmiths and pastoralists, and learn about their crafts and traditions.

Day 8 Lake Eyasi to Arusha

Early Morning hunting activities with Hadzabe, and transfer to Arusha or to the Airport. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for last-minute shopping or relaxation before your transfer to the airport for departure.
