This 3-day, 2-night safari will take you to explore Mikumi and Udzungwa Mountains National Park. Unlike Mikumi which offers the excellent game drives opportunities, the Udzungwa Mountains National Park is not conventional game viewing destination but a paradise for nature lovers, hikers, bird watchers, flower lovers and the primate seeking visitors.

On this trip expect a 3- to 4-hour drive on a fairly surfaced road that goes right past the main entrance gate. In Mikumi expect to see animals such as Lions, Buffalos, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Zebras, Impalas, Warthogs, elephants, hippos and more than 300 bird species while in the Udzungwa Mountains National Park expect to see endangered primates – the rare Udzungwa red colobus and the Sanje mangabey.
Depart at 0600 hours from Dar es Salaam with our guide, drive to Mikumi National Park which is approximately 5 hours’ drive from Dar es Salaam. You will have a hot lunch at Morogoro Town then proceed to Mikumi National Park for an afternoon game drive. You will have the opportunity to spot Lions, Buffalos, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Zebras, Impalas, Warthogs, elephants, hippos, and more.
Overnight at Tanswiss Lodge/Mikumi Bastian Camp
Enjoy an early morning game viewing in Mikumi National park-the. home to the thousands of animals from wildebeest ,zebra,a herd of buffalo crossing the road, giraffe browsing the acacia leaves along the mkata river,while hippos keep cool at the pair pools, large herd of impala, eland, elephant taking morning stroll,troop of baboon over the branch of tree. Lion climbs a tree trunks and so much more. Go back for hot lunch and rest in the hotel, After lunch, drive 70 kilometers away to Udzungwa Mountains National Park. On arrival, you will check in at the hotel then drive to the park gate where you will start your trekking to Prince Bernhard Waterfall and finish your day with village walk at Mangula village.

After breakfast, start walking in this beautiful park enjoying and experience the stunning natural beauty of the park. Have a picnic lunch in the bush then proceed exploring the area of the wonderful Sanje Waterfall, endemic red colobus monkeys and beautiful scenery. Lunch to be served at the Sanje Viewpoint. After that, you will descend and meet the safari car then start driving back to Dar es Salaam where you will arrived late evening.
