Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by your driver, who will assist you with your luggage and guide you to your vehicle for the transfer to your hotel in Arusha. The drive will take approximately one hour, allowing you to enjoy the scenic views of the Tanzanian landscape as you make your way to the city.

Once you arrive at the hotel, you will have the opportunity to relax and acclimatize to the local weather. This morning, after enjoying a hearty breakfast at the lodge, you will begin your safari adventure with a scenic drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. The journey will take about two hours, during which you’ll have the chance to take in the beautiful landscapes of Tanzania, including rolling hills and vast savannahs.

Upon arriving at Tarangire National Park, you can expect to be greeted by a stunning array of wildlife. The park is famous for its large herds of elephants, which you may encounter as they roam the park in search of water and food. Additionally, keep an eye out for other animals such as giraffes, zebras, and various antelope species. The park is also home to a diverse bird population, making it a paradise for birdwatchers.

Flying from Serengeti to Mafia Island is an exciting experience that offers a seamless transition from the iconic wildlife of the savannah to the tranquil beauty of the coast. The journey typically begins with a short flight from one of the Serengeti’s airstrips to Dar es Salaam.

Upon landing in Dar es Salaam, you may have a layover before your connecting flight to Mafia Island. This is a great opportunity to explore a bit of the city if time allows. After your time in Dar es Salaam, you will board a flight to Mafia Island, which takes about 30 minutes. As you approach Mafia, you’ll be greeted by stunning turquoise waters and white sandy beaches.
