Itinerary

Day 1Dar es Salaam – Train Ride – Afternoon Safari

Your journey starts early in the morning with a transfer to Dar es Salaam Railway Station. Board the SGR train and enjoy a scenic ride from Dar es Salaam to Morogoro, passing farmlands, villages, and rolling hills.

Upon arriving in Morogoro (late morning), your safari guide will welcome you and transfer you by road to Mikumi National Park. After a warm lunch at your lodge or picnic-style, begin your first game drive in the park. Explore the Mkata floodplain, renowned for its diverse wildlife, including elephants, wildebeest, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, and zebras. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight under the starlit sky.

Day 2Morning Game Drive – Return to Dar es Salaam by Road & Train

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive, when wildlife is most active and the soft morning light is perfect for photography. Track predators such as lions and hyenas, and observe herds of antelope and giraffes as they begin their day.

After the safari, begin the drive back to Dar es Salaam (approx. 5–6 hours) through local towns and scenic countryside. Arrive in the late afternoon or early evening, where drop-off at your hotel marks the end of your adventure.
