1 Hour Before Flight Time
When you embark on a safari in Nyerere National Park, you can expect an incredible experience filled with breathtaking landscapes and abundant wildlife.
Morning pickup from your hotel in Zanzibar for your scheduled flight to Nyerere National Park (formerly part of Selous Game Reserve), where you’ll arrive in time for a full breakfast. After breakfast, your wildlife adventure begins as you enter the park, heading into prime game viewing areas to catch glimpses of some amazing animals. At noon, you’ll enjoy lunch at one of the picnic spots within the park.
Following lunch, you’ll take a leisurely drive towards Mtemere Gate before embarking on a sunset boat safari starting at 16:00 along the magnificent Rufiji River. This unique experience promises abundant sightings of hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. Before sunset, you’ll have a sundowner stop on a sandbank. You’ll return to camp at sunset, just in time for a refreshing beverage and dinner.

Experience the excitement of spotting impalas, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, elephants, buffalos, and kudus, among other animals. Your entire day will be dedicated to game viewing, bird watching, and stopping at various waterholes along the way before your scheduled afternoon flight back to Zanzibar Island. Upon arrival on the island, your driver will be there to pick you up for the transfer to your hotel.
