Then journey into the Udzungwa Mountains for a guided rainforest hike to the towering Sanje Waterfalls. Early morning transfer from your hotel in Zanzibar to the airport for a short bush flight to Morogoro or Mikumi airstrip. Upon arrival, meet your safari guide and begin your game drive in Mikumi National Park, known for its open plains and rich wildlife.
Spot giraffes, zebras, elephants, lions, wildebeest, and a variety of birds as you explore the Mkata floodplain. Stop for a picnic lunch or enjoy a hot meal at a lodge. Continue with an afternoon game drive before checking into your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.
After an early breakfast, drive to Udzungwa Mountains National Park (approx. 1.5 hours). Accompanied by a park ranger, start your guided hike through lush rainforest trails to the Sanje Waterfalls Tanzania’s highest falls at 170m.
