This exciting adventure takes you to the shore of Lake Tanganyika where Gombe Stream National Park is located. It is the place where Jane Goodall did her seminal research on chimps behaviour. Safari will start with flight from Dar Es Salaam to Kigoma. After reaching Gombe you will participate in Chimpanzee tracking for the next two days. Chimpanzee tracking will take place in the morning or afternoon.

Fly from Dar es Salaam to Kigoma in Western Tanzania. Upon landing, you’ll be transferred to the Kigoma Hilltop Hotel. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon swimming in the pool or taking in the views from the hillside.

Enjoy breakfast, and then travel by Dhow to Gombe Stream National Park. You will spend hours with chimpanzees trekking in the forest, observing and studying these primates in their natural habitat. You will also experience breathtaking views of the forest, and see other amazing birds and wildlife which live in the park. The park was made famous by the pioneering work of Jane Goodall who in the 1960s founded a behavioral research program that now stands as the longest-running study of its kind in the world.

After breakfast, you’ll leave and return to Kigoma by boat then transferred to Kigoma airport for
your flight to Dar es Salaam. An African Vista guide will be at the airport to meet you and transfer
you to your Hotel or Airport.
