This 4-day fly-in Nyerere National Park Classic Safari tour provides a brief glimpse of an outstanding wilderness region that is part of the vast Selous ecosystem. It includes 3 nights at a luxury safari camp inside the Nyerere National Park. 1 Hour Before Flight Time
Visiting the Nyerere National Park is an unforgettable experience and exactly what you would expect from an African safari spending time with a knowledgeable guide is without a doubt the best way to ensure that you see exactly what you came for. Maximize your wildlife sightings with sunrise and sunset game drives, and a thrilling bush walk.
Depart on a morning scheduled flight from Zanzibar to Nyerere National Park. On arrival at the airstrip, you will be met by your driver guide. After a greeting and briefing, you’ll have a drive that will take your Camp inside the park, where you will be spending the next 3 nights on safari.
Once you have settled at the camp, you will depart on a late afternoon game drive in an open vehicle to view the wildlife. Enjoy sundowner drinks in the bush as the sun sets over the landscape. Predators such as leopard are their most active at night and you may be lucky enough to spot a kill. Return to your camp, exhilarated by your first safari experience, and enjoy a hearty dinner.
Awaken at sunrise for an exhilarating day of unforgettable bush life. Leave the Camp and enjoy a 2 hour, “walk in the wild” with experienced, armed field guides who will lead you through the bush. On the morning safari walk, you can be part of a small group that sets out on foot after breakfast. This is an opportunity to experience the bush at close quarters.
In the afternoon, prepare for the boat safari. The boat trip provides a thrilling opportunity to see hippos, crocs, buffalos, and a variety of water birds at close quarters, as well as elephants drinking and swimming.
This morning, after breakfast, you will have a full game drive in an open safari vehicle which allows you to view animals from a higher vantage point and a perfect panoramic view. Your guide will use his expert knowledge to help you search for and find the iconic animals in the park and interpret the natural environment.
You will stop at various lookout points, waterholes, and rivers during your safari to increase your chances of seeing as many of the fauna & flora the park has to offer as well as the breathtaking scenery of the different areas of the park. You will have an amazing chance not only to view the game but also to listen to and smell the African bush. Your experienced driver guide will show many animals and birds that frequent this wildlife paradise.
You will return to your Camp after your safari allowing time for relaxation and a sundowner drink waiting for a sumptuous dinner.
This is your last morning in the park. Surely a holiday to be remembered. After breakfast, we check out and head to the Airstrip for your flight back to Zanzibar
