1 Hour Before Flight Time
Visiting the Nyerere National Park is an unforgettable experience and exactly what you would expect from an African safari spending time with a knowledgeable guide is without a doubt the best way to ensure that you see exactly what you came for. Maximize your wildlife sightings with sunrise and sunset game drives, and a thrilling bush walk.
Morning pickup from your hotel in Zanzibar for your scheduled flight to Nyerere National Park (part of the formerly Selous Game Reserve) arriving for the full breakfast. After breakfast, your wildlife experience begins as soon as you enter the park, heading into prime game viewing areas where you can catch a glimpse of some of the amazing animals. At noon you will be having lunch at one of the picnic spots inside the park.
Enjoy the thrill of spotting an impala, lion, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, elephant, buffalo, kudu, among other animals. Your entire day will be spent in game viewing, bird watching, and stopping off at the various waterholes en route. We depart the park in the late afternoon and return to the camp for an evening of relaxation.

Today you will be woken up for early morning coffee and tea before departing for a bush walk set at 6:30 AM. Leave the Camp and enjoy a 2 hour, “walk in the wild” with experienced, field guides who will lead you through the bush. This is an opportunity to experience the bush at close quarters. Return to the Camp for a full breakfast at 8:30 AM.
After breakfast depart to one of the famous Maasai Bomas, where you’ll have the opportunity to interact with the Maasai and get a glimpse into their culture, and unique way of life and see firsthand some of their customs and practices. After the Maasai Boma tour, return to the camp for lunch at 13:00.
After the hot lunch, relax at the Camp before setting off for the sunset boat Safari starting at 16:00 along the great Rufiji River. Uniquely, the Rufiji River game viewing experience promises abundant sightings of hippos and crocodiles as well as a variety of bird species. Before the sun went off you will have a sundowner stop in the sandbank. Return to the camp at sunset, in time for a beverage and dinner.

This morning, after breakfast, you will have a full game drive in an open safari vehicle which allows you to view animals from a higher vantage point and a perfect panoramic view. Your guide will use his expert knowledge to help you search for and find the iconic animals in the park and interpret the natural environment.
You will stop at various lookout points, waterholes, and rivers during your safari to increase your chances of seeing as many of the fauna & flora the park has to offer as well as the breathtaking scenery of the different areas of the park. You will have an amazing chance not only to view the game but also to listen to and smell the African bush. Your experienced driver guide will show many animals and birds that frequent this wildlife paradise. You will return to your Camp after your safari allowing time for relaxation and a sundowner drink waiting for a sumptuous dinner.

This is your last morning in Nyerere National Park Safari. Surely a holiday to be remembered. After breakfast, we check out and head to the Airstrip for your flight back to Zanzibar Island. Once arrive on the Island your driver will pick you up for the transfer to your Hotel.
