Covering an area of 137 km², Arusha National Park is an ideal destination for wildlife viewing, walking, and canoeing safaris while in Arusha. It is a scenic beauty park with beautiful landscape and an incredible variety of Flora and Fauna. The park covers Mount Meru, a prominent volcano with an elevation of 4566 m, in the Arusha Region of northeastern Tanzania. The other features of the park include Lake Momella and the Ngurdoto Crater.
The most common animals in Arusha National Park are Buffalos, Giraffe, Zebra, Hippos, Waterbuck, and Bushbuck. There are also varieties of Monkeys, the black-and-white colobus monkey, velvet monkey, blue monkey, and baboons. The park is also a birdwatcher’s paradise with more than 400 bird species including flamingos.

You will be picked up at 7:30 AM from your Hotel in Arusha and drive to Arusha National Park. The drive will take about 45 minutes depending on your location in Arusha. From the Ngongongare entry gate, we’ll start driving through the beautiful green surroundings of Arusha National Park to spot some local wildlife, including a stunning view of Mt. Meru in the background.
The park offers you a variety of activities including Game Drives, Canoe Safari, and Walking Safari. There are extra fees apply for canoe and walking safari. You can combine these three for a great experience at Arusha National Park. You will return to Arusha in the late afternoon with a head full of memories and incredible photos to share with your friend and family.
