If you are in the city of Dar es Salaam and you are thinking of visiting the national park that is near you, Mikumi will definitely be on your list. About four hours will bring you to this interesting park located in the south of Tanzania. The 3,230-kilometre square park lies in the shadow of the Uluguru Mountains to the northeast while being nestled between the Rubeho Mountains, Udzungwa Mountain National Park, and Rift Valley escarpment to the southwest.

In Mikumi expect to see buffalo, giraffes, elephants, lions, pythons, zebras, leopards, crocodiles, and less common antelope such as eland, greater kudu, and sable.
In the morning at around 05:30 hours, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Dar-es-Salaam and drive you to Mikumi National Park. This trip takes about 4-5 hours to get to the park, so you will take your coffee break en route. After check-in at the park entrance gate, you will continue with the game drive till around 13:00 hours whereby you will have a lunch break inside the park. After a short lunch break, you’ll continue with the game drive observing the wildlife. At around 16:30 hours you will start driving back to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival in Dar Es Salaam, you will be taken to your hotel.
