Saadani National Park covers 1,100 square kilometers and it is the only wildlife sanctuary in Tanzania where its wilderness meets the ocean. The major activities in the Saadani National Park are the game drive and boat safari along the Wami River crossing the Saadani National Park and flowing towards the Indian Ocean. The Wami River hosts a large population of hippos, crocodiles, flamingos, and many other large bird species.
