Overnight Camping Safari inside Nyerere National Park

Your journey begins with a afternoon hotel pickup in Zanzibar and a 35-minute flight to Nyerere National Park (Mtemere Airstrip). Upon landing, you’ll meet your guide before heading straight into the park for the late afternoon game drive.

Explore the park’s rich habitats, riverbanks, open plains, and woodlands teeming with wildlife. You may spot elephants crossing the Rufiji River, giraffes browsing treetops, and hippos cooling off in the lagoons. As the sun sets, you’ll head to your campsite located inside the park, where your campfire dinner awaits.

Spend the night at a designated bush campsite inside Nyerere National Park. Fall asleep to the distant calls of hyenas and wake up to birdsong echoing across the wilderness.
Your overnight stay includes a comfortable safari tent, bedrolls, bedding, and simple but delicious campfire meals prepared by your camp cook.

After an early breakfast, head out for a sunrise game drive when wildlife is most active. Look out for lions returning from their night hunt, elephants drinking at waterholes, and hundreds of birds lighting up the skies. In the afternoon you will be transferred to Mtemere Airstrip for your afternoon flight back to Zanzibar. On arrival in Zanzibar you will be transferred back to your Hotel. It’s been a full 24 hours of real adventure the kind that only happens deep inside the African wilderness.
