Nyerere (Selous) National Park is a 30-minute flight away from Zanzibar or a 2-hour ferry transfer and 4-hour road transfer from Dar es Salaam. The vast Nyerere (Selous) National Park at about 30,893 km² twice the size of Serengeti has a good range of activities including game drives, boat trips, walking safari, village tours, and bush/nature walks making it a most popular safari destination for either day trip or multi-day safari from Zanzibar.
Mikumi National Park at about 3,230 km² an excellent day trip option. The park is a 45-minute flight away from Zanzibar or a 2-hour ferry transfer and 5 5-hour road transfer from Dar es Salaam.
