1 Hour Before Flight Time
On this safari tour expect to see the unspoiled beauty, a few crowds, and encounter wildlife in the park where semi-aquatic and aquatic mammals are plentiful. The park is home to a wide range of wildlife species such as impalas, African wild dogs, warthogs, lions, elephants, hippos, giraffes, waterbucks, bushbucks, greater kudu, and many more.
Morning pickup from your hotel in Zanzibar for your scheduled flight to Nyerere National Park (part of the formerly Selous Game Reserve) arriving for the full breakfast.
After breakfast, your wildlife experience begins as soon as you enter the park, heading into prime game viewing areas where you can catch a glimpse of some of the amazing animals. At noon you will be having lunch at one of the picnic spots inside the park.
Enjoy the thrill of spotting an impala, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, elephants, buffalo, kudu, among other animals. Your entire day will be spent in game viewing, bird watching, and stopping off at the various waterholes en route. We depart the park in the late afternoon and return to the lodge for an evening of relaxation.

This day at 9:30, pay a visit to one of the famous Maasai bomas, where you’ll have the opportunity to interact with the Maasai and get a glimpse into their culture, and unique way of life and see firsthand some of their customs and practices. Arguably the most iconic tribal group in all of Africa is the Maasai, who still retain many of their traditions as they live largely untouched by modern-day civilization. After the Maasai Boma tour, return to the camp for lunch at 1:30 PM.
After the hot lunch, relax at the Camp before setting off for the sunset boat Safari along the great Rufiji River starting at 4:00 PM. The Rufiji River game viewing experience promises abundant sightings of hippos and crocodiles as well as a variety of bird species. Before the sun went off you will have a sundowner stop in the sandbank. Return to the lodge at sunset, in time for a beverage and dinner served at the camp.

Today you will be woken up for early morning coffee and tea before departing for a bush walk set at 6:30 AM. Guided by a qualified bush guide, we learn about nature’s finer details like bird, tree, and spoor identification. You will be back at the camp at 8:30 AM for the full breakfast.
After the full breakfast, you will have a chance to relax at the camp before your afternoon flight back to Zanzibar Island. Once you arrive on the Island, your driver will pick you up for the transfer to your Hotel.
