Tour Highlights

Enjoy 4 days, 3-night safari to the world-famous Serengeti National Park and discover the beauty of the flora and fauna and spectacular landscapes. The endless golden Serengeti, declared a World Heritage Site in 1981, is undoubtedly the most famous area in Tanzania and is on top of the to-do list for many travelers. Here, the legendary hikes of the wildebeest and zebra herds take place, accompanied by lions and hyenas.

In addition to the biggest spectacle in the world, there is a variety of wildlife to see, including the “Big Five”. Apart from Serengeti, the other world’s UNESCO heritage site, Ngorongoro Crater, is unique in that almost all the wildlife lives within the crater walls, hence you have the opportunity to find the game easily. Rhinos can be seen regularly, as well as the pride of lions and cheetahs.

Itinerary

Day 1Arusha – Ngorongoro Crater – Overnight on the Crater Rim

Your safari begins in Arusha with a morning departure toward the Ngorongoro highlands. The drive passes through fertile farmlands and gradually ascends into cooler mountain air. Upon arrival at the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, you descend 600 meters into this UNESCO World Heritage Site for a half-day game drive. The crater floor supports an extraordinary density of wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, lions, hyenas, zebras, and wildebeests.

The endangered black rhino is frequently spotted here, making this one of the best locations in Tanzania to see all members of the Big Five. Hippos gather in freshwater pools, flamingos line the soda lake, and predators patrol the open plains. The enclosed ecosystem creates remarkable viewing opportunities within a relatively small area.
After your game drive, you ascend to the crater rim for dinner and overnight at your lodge. The cooler temperatures and panoramic views over the caldera create a spectacular and tranquil evening atmosphere.

Day 2Ngorongoro – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you depart Ngorongoro and travel westward toward Serengeti National Park. As you leave the crater highlands behind, the landscape gradually opens into the endless golden plains that define the Serengeti. Game viewing begins as soon as you enter the park. Central Serengeti, particularly the Seronera region, is known for year-round wildlife due to permanent water sources.

You may encounter large herds of zebra and wildebeest, giraffes browsing acacias, and elephants crossing the plains. The Serengeti is especially famous for its predators. Lions rest on rocky kopjes, leopards lounge in riverine trees, and cheetahs scan the grasslands for prey.

Accommodation: Serengeti Queens Camp

  • All meals included
  • Drinking water (Other drinks not included).

Day 3Full day in Serengeti National Park

Today is dedicated to exploring the vast Serengeti ecosystem. Early morning and afternoon game drives maximize wildlife sightings when animals are most active. The open plains allow exceptional visibility and photography opportunities. Large lion prides are often seen hunting or resting, while hyenas patrol nearby. The Seronera River area attracts a concentration of wildlife, including hippos and crocodiles.

The Serengeti’s scale is awe-inspiring — rolling grasslands stretch to the horizon, broken only by acacia trees and granite kopjes. The sense of space and freedom defines the experience here.
After a full day of exploration, return to your lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4Early Morning Game Drive – Flight to Zanzibar – Airport Pickup & Hotel Transfer

Begin your final safari day with an early morning game drive. Dawn is one of the most rewarding times in the Serengeti, as predators are still active and the golden light enhances the beauty of the landscape. After breakfast at the lodge, transfer to the Serengeti airstrip for your scheduled bush flight to Zanzibar.

The flight offers stunning aerial views of the savannah before crossing the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Upon arrival in Zanzibar, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your beach hotel. As you settle into your island accommodation, the rhythm of your journey shifts from safari adventure to coastal relaxation — white sand beaches, warm ocean breezes, and Swahili charm. This concludes your 4-day Ngorongoro and Serengeti drive-in-fly-out safari, seamlessly connecting Tanzania’s premier wildlife destinations with the tropical beauty of Zanzibar.
