Next Stop at: Karimjee Hall to National Museum

After a pick-up, your guide will drive up to Karimjee Hall constructed in 1916 by the British government and used to house the legislative council. It was first the nation’s House of Parliament when Tanganyika regained independence in 1961.

Next, you’ll visit the National Museum, home to many historical treasures with a wide variety of exhibits including archaeological findings, rock paintings, ancient footprints, the remains of the first humans, and more.

Next Stop at:Kariakoo Market

Kariakoo Market is an ideal place for an authentically African shopping experience. Our guide will take you to this market after a wonderful visit to the National Museum.

Kariakoo Market is the busiest and the biggest market in Dar-es-Salaam whose existence dates back to the colonial days and is found in the heart of Dar-es-Salaam serving millions of people in East and Central Africa.

It is now lunch time; our guide will take you for a lunch before continuing with your memorable tour in Dar-es-salaam.

Next Stop:Village Museums/ Traditional Dance

After lunch, you will drive along Ali Hassan Mwinyi road up to Makumbusho Village Museums which showcases authentically constructed houses and equipment from a few of the tribes in Tanzania. It is one of the five major museums in the country. You will also experience the traditional dances of the tribes in Tanzania.

Next Stop at:Mwenge Woodcarvers Market

After a visit to the National Museum, your next stop will be at Mwenge Woodcarvers Market filled with artisans hard at work creating beautiful and unique items. Wooden masks are particularly popular, but you’ll also find treasures in craft shops selling a whole range of goods from fabrics to sandals, beaded necklaces, and more. You can also find other arts and crafts there, such as the beautiful and often quite adorable Tinga Tinga paintings.

After an extensive full-day tour in Dar-es-salaam, your guide will drive you back to your hotel in the city center. Airport transfer can be arranged at an additional cost.
